Wolfgang Van Halen is widely regarded as a product of nepotism. Wolfgang Van Halen is the only son of Eddie Van Halen, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has been the bassist in his band, Van Halen, since 2006. Though he has a successful career, he is often mocked for his weight.
Don’t Back Down, a new EP by the thirty-year-old singer was recently released. Wolfgang was chastised for not meeting his father’s height, but he was also chastised for not controlling his weight.
Wolfgang Van Halen has had plenty of taunts about his weight

The Hate Comments Saga
Wolfgang casually tweeted in August 2020 that he had just finished doing “adult” stuff such as vacuuming the living room and sofa cushions. While the majority of the comments were lighthearted, one disgruntled user went for his alleged privilege.
Who cares, your just a nepotism freak.

Wolfgang responded by tweeting that if they were going to offend him, they should at least use proper grammar. Living in the shadow of his late father, jokes, and insults about nepotism and body weight are a dead horse, according to the tweet. He sarcastically urged his detractors to be more imaginative at the end of his tweet.
Wolfgang began receiving fat-shaming remarks in 2007 when he had just recently joined his father’s band. Around the same time, People published a story on the sixteen-year-old musician and his family called “I Know Why I’m Fat,” in which Wolfgang was seen to struggle with portion control while on a diet.
Also, while we’re on the topic…
Can ANYONE come up with some kind of insult that doesn’t involve nepotism/living in the shadow/fat jokes? I feel like that horse has been dead for quite some time. I’m starting to feel like the people who hate me aren’t very creative 😢

At the time, his mother, Valerie Bertinelli (and Emmy Award-winning actress), had just started a diet and lost 10 pounds in three weeks, which is why she put Halen on the same diet.
Keeping on the Weight-Loss Track
Although there is no official record of how much weight Wolfgang has lost, based on his before and after photos, it is assumed that he is on a diet. On March 16, 2021, the singer celebrated his thirty-first birthday by indulging in miniature cakes bearing the emblem of his latest solo album.
He posted on Instagram in August and September of last year, expressing his love for his mother’s cooking. Given that Bertinelli is still on a diet, it’s not unreasonable to believe that Wolfgang is as well.
