Britt began her career after graduating from Northwestern by working as a sports reporter and fill-in anchor for ABC’s Washington affiliate WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8. She spent two weeks as a dugout reporter for Fox Sports San Diego in the middle of the year before returning to ABC 7.
Britt left ABC 7 for the second time in 2014, this time to work for ESPN. She began her career as a sports correspondent for shows including Sportscenter, Baseball Tonight, and NFL Live. Britt became embroiled in controversy while working for ESPN on April 16, 2015, when a video portion of her using vulgar words against a tow lot employee leaked in the LiveLeak.
Britt was suspended for one week after ESPN learned about the footage. Britt apologized for her irresponsible behavior, and the towing firm claimed that they did not want Britt fired by ESPN because of her remarks. Britt worked at ESPN until 2017, when she was laid go as part of a large layoff. She shared the news on Twitter, revealing that the NFL Draft would be her final assignment on April 27, 2017. She also implied in her post that her firing was due to her political conservatism.

Britt then went on to work for Fox News as an analyst and host of the show Like It Or Not.
