On August 13, 2021, Maisie Peters released another single from her upcoming album You Signed Up For This. The diva can be seen adoring her sister in the hit “Brooklyn.”
In reality, the entire song was written to describe her connection with Ellen, her twin sister. For those who are bewildered by the mention of Ellen, the singer introduced her fans to her twin sister while they were quarantined together.
Maisie and Ellen Save Your Sad Girl Summer was a YouTube series in which they handled relationship concerns and gave advise to viewers who emailed them for assistance. Surprisingly, their YouTube program wasn’t the only one the sisters collaborated on. Returning to her single, the video opened with a cute young Ellen hosting their own Ellen & Maisie Show, which was published over the weekend.
Ellen then presented her evil sister, who was hiding behind the camera, as the demon director. Ellen’s words did not appear to be malicious, as they gave way to Maisie’s heartfelt song of love and affection for her sister.
Maisie Peters is Signed to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Gingerbread’ Label
Maisie rose to prominence following the release of her breakout debut track “Place Where We Were Made,” which prompted Ed Sheeran to sign her to his Gingerbread Records label.
They’ll also collaborate on a tune called “Psycho,” which will appear on her debut studio album, You Signed Up For This.
The singer, who has worked with celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Lewis Capaldi, had a hard time believing Sheeran was both her boss and a friend. Swift contacted Maisie in 2020, saying, “My ears have been blessed,” after hearing Maisie’s rendition of her song “Betty.” Not only that, but Grammy nominee JP Saxe was quoted by the BBC as gushing compliments for the young performer.
Aside from celebrity endorsements, the rising star has garnered over half a billion streams and sold out venues such as London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Keep in mind that her debut album has yet to be released. On August 27, 2021, You Signed Up For This will be released.
‘Brooklyn’ Narrates The Sisters’ Trip to New York
Maisie brought up both happy and sad memories as the song progressed. As the chorus approached, she boldly declared that her sister was the “girl of your dreams.” The singer said on Instagram that the song was inspired by a trip she took to New York with her twin sister when they were both 19 years old, which was also their first trip away from their parents.

She also assured viewers that everything she sang about in the video was true to the events of that trip. She went on to say that the song was an ode to all sisters.
