Victor’s career began with a folk song, The Sugar Shoppe, which he co-created with Laurie Hood, Peter Mann, and Lee Harris. He appeared alongside Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Gila Radner, Dave Thomas, Paul Shaffer, and Martin Short in the 1972 Toronto production of Godspell. In the 1990s, the performer appeared on Broadway in the first performances of Deathtrap, Sweeney Todd, and Noises OFF, as well as the original Broadway ensemble of Assassins and the Damn Yankees.
In 2005, he played Frederic in the Los Angeles Opera production of A Little Night Music. He played Ben in a critically acclaimed Encores show performance. His first film appearance was in Godspell, in which he played Jesus. He appeared as a character in Sleepless in Seattle in 1993. He portrayed the DC Comics villain Sinestro in the direct-to-video animated film Green Lantern: First Flight.
