Kate Anderson, 36, is a Barnard College graduate with a Master’s degree from Oxford University. In terms of her parents, Kate, whose ethnicity is unknown, is the daughter of Valerie Anderson and Christopher Andersen of Washington.
Her father, Christopher Reeve, is a biographer and the author of the book Somewhere in Heaven: Dana and Christopher Reeve’s Remarkable Love Story (Hyperion, 2008). Valerie, her mother, is the chairwoman of the Judea Nursery School in Washington Depot, Conn., as well as the treasurer of the Bridgewater, Roxbury, and Washington School Boards.
Before covering the White House for Bloomberg News, the American journalist worked at CBS News in New York and Fox News in Washington, D.C.
She has also written for Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Washington Post, and The Washingtonian, and has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s This Week with Fox News’ Hannity, George Stephanopoulos, The Kelly File, and Fox & Friends, as well as NSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews and Morning Joe. She appears frequently on CNN.

On May 11, 2009, Kate Anderson Brower married her longtime boyfriend, Brooke Andrew Brower, in Washington, Connecticut. Rev. Cheryl P. Anderson officiated at the wedding ceremony at First Congregational Church. Brooke, her husband, is an editorial producer for Hardball with Chris Matthews and the MSNBC show.
She has two children with Brooke, one son (age 5) and one daughter (age 4). Kate publicizes her marital relationship on social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
On November 28, 2017, she took to Twitter and tweeted about their children, saying she was concerned about what their generation’s obsession with social media would do to them.
Kate currently lives near Washington, D.C., with her husband and their two children.
