Her father, Christopher Reeve, is a biographer and the author of the book Somewhere in Heaven: Dana and Christopher Reeve’s Remarkable Love Story (Hyperion, 2008). Valerie, her mother, is the chairwoman of the Judea Nursery School in Washington Depot, Conn., as well as the treasurer of the Bridgewater, Roxbury, and Washington School Boards.

Before covering the White House for Bloomberg News, the American journalist worked at CBS News in New York and Fox News in Washington, D.C.

She has two children with Brooke, one son (age 5) and one daughter (age 4). Kate publicizes her marital relationship on social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
