Cory Booker is a member of the Democratic Party in the United States. On October 16, 2013, he won a special election to represent New Jersey in the United States Senate. Cory, 50, was born to Carolyn Rose (Jordan) and Cary Alfred Booker, who were among IBM’s first black executives. Cory grew up in Harrington Park, New Jersey, despite being born in Washington, D.C.
When it comes to his ancestors, his parents, as well as his grandparents on both sides, were black. However, one of his maternal great-grandfathers was white, so Cory identifies as a mixed African-American.
Cory has been a standout football player since he was in high school. He used his passion for sports to get into the best schools for his formal education.
He attended Stanford University on a football scholarship and Oxford University on a Rhodes scholarship. As a result, he is now a proud alumnus of Yale Law School.
