In May 2013, Kevin Connolly, who portrayed “Eric (E) Murphy” on the television series Entourage, tweeted about hockey. Nolan publicly responded to his remark. To her astonishment, he immediately sent her a direct message after hearing that she had referred to him as her “previous crush of my life.”
The situation escalated when Kevin responded to the criticism expressed by Katie’s followers and friends by going so far as to make fun of people’s appearances following more conversation and light flirtation over Twitter.
Soon after, Katie defended her fandom, which led to an insulting exchange between the two of them.
