The Age And Upbringing Of Asaad Amin, Muhammad Ali’s Adopted Son
Asaad Amin is the late boxer Muhamad Ali’s adopted son, as we already mentioned. Asaad was first introduced to the boxer and his wife Yolanda (“Lonnie”) Williams by Lonnie’s sister, who just so happened to be caring for Asaad’s friend’s infant.
Ali and his wife chose to adopt Asaad after falling in love with him and meeting him. When Ali and his wife adopted Amin, he was only five months old.
Amin is 35 years old as of the beginning of 2022. He was born in the United States of America on March 12, 1986. Asaad enjoys a close relationship with his adoptive parents even though his birth parents’ identities are still unknown.
He spent the majority of his formative years in a small Michigan town.
Amin recalled his youth and said,
We owned a farm. It served as a getaway location from everything.

Asaad has always favored ball sports even though his father was one of the greatest boxers of all time. In high school, he participated in a lot of baseball, basketball, and football games.
Later, the talented youngster decided to concentrate on baseball, and he began competing for the team as a redshirt catcher throughout his freshman year. Even as a catcher, Asaad set a record with 50 victories.
At the same time, Asaad also guided his school’s squad to the West Division Championship of the Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference.
Asaad continued his education in 2009 by enrolling at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He joined the Cardinals baseball club there, but in 2011 he left school to work as an area scout with the Chicago White Sox.
Amin worked for a few months in Major League Baseball in the interim. Before returning to the University of Louisville to complete his bachelor’s degree in the College of Arts and Sciences, he also worked as a coach at the collegiate level.

Rachel McNulty and Asaad Amin have been wed for more than three years. They exchanged vows on December 28, 2018. The Omni Louisville Hotel, a four-star hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, hosted its indoor wedding ceremony.

Rachel, Asaad’s wife, is a teacher and a cheerleader coach. In the early 2010s, the two met while they were both students at the University of Louisville. 2013 saw McNulty’s graduation from college.
Asaad is a straightforward individual who “doesn’t want people to treat him differently just because of who his dad is,” according to Rachel, who stated this in June 2016 to the Courier-Journal.
The two have been together for more than ten years, and their romance is still going strong.
Asaad Amin and His Spouse Have A Daughter
On September 4, 2020, Amin’s wife Rachel gave birth to a girl they named Zoey. A day after her delivery, Ali shared a snapshot on Instagram that just showed the newborn girl’s head to share the exciting news. He noted:
“Yesterday at 6:29 pm, my life irrevocably changed. I am now this precious newborn girl’s lifelong bodyguard!”
Amin, a multimedia producer for the University of Louisville, uploaded a few gorgeous photos of his newborn girl on his social media accounts after the birth of his first child.

Never witnessed his father’s boxing contest
Asaad, the youngest of nine children was never able to see his father’s boxing contest in person. In actuality, Asaad was born ten years after Ali’s final match. Amin has eight older siblings: one brother, Muhammad Ali Jr., and seven sisters, Laila, Maryum, Rasheda, Hana, Khaliah, Jamillah, and Miya Ali.
After the passing of his father, Asaad Amin was devastated.
Muhammad Ali, the late boxer and father of Amin, passed away on June 3, 2016, from septic shock. At the time of his passing, he was 74. Before he passed away, Ali had long battled Parkinson’s disease.
The previous day the heavyweight champion of the moment had been admitted to the hospital with a respiratory condition. Even though it was thought to be less severe, his health worsened, and he passed away from septic shock the next day.
Asaad wrote a lengthy Instagram caption honoring his late father on the day Ali passed away.
“I will always be grateful for everything you have ever done for me. I never knew it was possible to love the world the way you have taught me to. You’ve taught me how to be strong and fearless in ways that I could never have imagined!
Since then, AD Asaad has uploaded several pictures of his deceased father to Instagram. Amin and Lonnie, his adoptive mother, have a wonderful bond. Ali shared a flashback image of him and his mother on social media in May 2017 in honor of Mother’s Day.

Has His Father’s Name Tattooed on His Body
Asaad and his late father had a close relationship. In honor of his late father, he even got a tattoo on his arm. It bears his father’s name, “ALI,” the dates of his father’s three heavyweight titles, and gloves.
