Yu Tsai, an American photographer based in Los Angeles and New York, works in television as a creative consultant and judge on America’s Next Top Model and Asia’s Next Top Model.
He also worked on the Harpers Bazaar Magazine cover shoot, which featured Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Yu Tsai discovered his passion for photography while studying painting and graphic design.
He discovered that photography can be used to tell a visual story. He eventually became a photographer and was published in magazines such as Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, Playboy, GQ, and Vogue.

Yu has worked with commercial directors for Aetna, Gateway, and Samsung during his career. He has also contributed to research on national wildlife conservation with the National Geographic research group.
However, in order to advance his career, Yu has not only achieved success but has also been accused of inappropriate behavior in the past.
Model Kate Upton accused fashion designer Paul Marciano of sexual harassment in 2018. Yu defended herself by claiming that Marciano grabbed Kate’s breasts.
But Marciano quickly recanted after a prominent male model called Yu a hypocrite and claimed Yu sexually assaulted him in July 2012. Yu slapped him on the buttocks in an act of sexual aggression, according to the model.
Even after all of the allegations, one of the most intriguing facts about Yu is that the rumors and accusations had no effect on his career because no legal action was taken.

Yu was born in Taiwan to a Chinese father from the Chinese mainland and a Taiwanese mother. Yu grew up in Taipei before moving to a farm in Indiana with his family.

Yu attended Don Antonio Lugo High School for his secondary education. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America and the track team in high school.
