Appearance

Yabaha was a young man of average stature, with gray-tinged skin and short black hair. He had red cat-like eyes that he usually kept closed, as well as a pair of pale-ringed orange eyes on the palms of his hands, a red upward-pointing arrow on each of the irises, and a glowing dark green sclera.

Yabaha was dressed in a plain olive-green yukata with a brown sash and a dark gray haori with a green stripe running from his shoulders to his wrists. Along with a necklace of large blue pearls, he wore white socks and a pair of brown, black-laced sandals.

He was a devoted Demon who only served Muzan Kibutsuji to please him. He, like Susamaru, aspired to Muzan’s approval and the opportunity to join the Twelve Kizuki. Yahaba, despite his sadistic personality, preferred to do things in a clean and mature manner; he despised Susamaru’s immature attitude and despised getting dirty.

He regretted not being able to win Muzan’s approval even in death, and all he wanted was to avenge Tanjiro Kamado for rubbing his face in the ground.

Arc of Asakusa

Muzan summons two of his followers, Yahaba and Susamaru, to track down a Demon Slayer wearing hanafuda-like earrings in Asakusa, outraged.

During the night, the two walk the quiet streets, following the Demon Slayer’s trail. Yahaba uses his Blood Demon Art to track his movements and discovers that he is being followed by two more people.

Susamaru, ecstatic, inquires as to how the two should slaughter them all, to which Yahaba responds that they should slaughter them as cruelly as possible for Muzan, their lord. He leads Susamaru to their enemies’ hiding place, where she uses her deadly temari balls to destroy a cloaking seal hovering over the house. He inquires about her plans for killing them, and the Temari Demon agrees that they must all be killed vengefully.

Susamaru uses her temari to dismantle the house piece by piece.Yahaba notices the Demon Slayer is accompanied by three Demons while playing handball. (ortery) Susamaru is too immature, he tells her, and she should stop splattering dirt on his kimono. After exploiting their enemies inside the house, she simply tells him to get back and relax.

Yahaba participates in the assault as a bystander, hiding in the trees away from the action. He guides Susamari’s temari with the Koketsu Arrows, tearing up the house and even removing the head of the young Demon boy, Yushiro. Yushiro eventually recovers and informs Tanjiro that Yahaba is guiding the balls in an unnatural manner with arrows.

To stop Yahaba, Tanjiro sends Nezuko Kamado into the trees. She locates him and delivers a powerful kick, but he deflects it with a Koketsu Arrow and sends her flying away after telling her to stop stirring up dust. Muzan’s followers stand off with their four opponents as Yahaba leaves the trees.

While the others fight Susamaru, Tanjiro fights Yahaba alone. On the Arrow Demon, he detects an opening thread, but it snaps as soon as Yahaba activates his ability. He throws Tanjiro around, causing him to collide with the ground and multiple trees.

One of the others is identified as Lady Tamayo the Fugitive, and Yahaba swears to bring Muzan her head as well. Susamaru inquires if they can bring Muzan four heads, but Yahaba responds that only two are required.

With his arrows, Yahaba puts Tanjiro on the defensive and wraps one around his arm. To avoid losing his arm, Tanjiro flips in the direction of the arrow. Yahaba believes he has the upper hand in the fight and refers to the Demon Slayer as a monkey due to his acrobatics. Yahaba, enraged, unleashes more vector arrows, which Tanjiro finally counters by enveloping them in his Water Breathing techniques and directing his attack with the momentum.

The Arrow Demon uses his arrows to try to scare Tanjiro away, but all he succeeds in doing is making his sword extremely heavy. Despite this, Tanjiro manages to slash the blade and use Later Water Wheel to decapitate Yahaba.

Yahaba laments his inability to gain Kibutsuji’s approval as he fades away. He decides to take Tanjiro out with him after cursing him for rubbing his face in the ground. As a parting gift, Yahaba’s body shoots Koketsu Arrows in all directions at Tanjiro.

Tanjiro avoids being crushed by employing a series of swordsmanship techniques one after the other. Yahaba disintegrates before he can kill him, but he manages to take him out of the fight for the rest of it.

Power and Abilities

Yahaba’s signature fighting style utilized his Blood Demon Art: Koketsu Arrow. When combined with Susamaru’s Temari, it was particularly effective. They were able to bring Tamayo the Fugitive out of hiding and destroy their hideout by working together.

Flesh Manipulation: Yahaba, like all demons, has the ability to manipulate his own flesh for various purposes. In his case, he uses it to make two eyes with arrows for irises on his palm, possibly at the expense of his two regular eyes on his face.

Koketsu Arrow: Yahaba’s Blood Demon Art granted him two morphed eyes, one on each of his palms, with arrows for irises. Yahaba used these eyes to guide his senses and could track footprints with them. When the eyes blinked, they could conjure vector arrows, forcing the desired target in the direction of the arrow.

Vector Manipulation: Yahaba can manipulate matter and interactions by using his Koketsu Arrows to manipulate their related vectors.
