Former professional football player Zé Sérgio. He played as a striker in soccer matches. From 1977 to 1984, Zé Sérgio was a S. Paulo club member. Later, he joined the Santos team, where he stayed up until 1986.
He played for Vasco da Gama from 1986 to 1987. In the Japan J-League, Zé Sérgio finished his soccer career with Kashiwa Reysol. He participated in this group from 1989 to 1991. He was appointed team manager in 1995 as well.
Zé Sérgio also captured a Brazilian League championship in 1977. In 1980 and 1981, he also captured two So Paulo State League championships. In 1984, he and Santos FC won the Campeonato Paulista.
