Professional Career

Zac started playing American football when he was very young. His father taught him to American football as a kid. He still holds multiple records at Norman High School. After graduating from high school, he was given multiple scholarships from several institutions, but he selected Wake Forest University and started playing for their football team.

Zac struggled in his first two years and went to Butler Community College in Kansas. He rediscovered his form and led the team to the NJCAA Championships, earning him second-team NJCAA All-American recognition. Taylor threw for almost 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns in his career. After completing his two years at Butler College, he went to the University of Memphis. Zac had a poor start to his career with the college squad.

Zac threw for 399 yards on 39 of 29 attempts. He only had one score and three interceptions in his first three games with the club. Taylor, on the other hand, rallied against Iowa State. He finished 36 of 55 throws for 431 yards and two touchdowns. He rapidly improved his skills until he broke the school record for throwing yards in a season (2,653 yards on 55.1 percent completions).

Taylor was an important part of the Big 12 Championship Game in 2006. He threw for 2,789 yards and 24 touchdowns during the regular season.
