Chef Whitney Miller also writes cookbooks, creates menus and recipes, judges food competitions, and styles food.
After she was crowned the winner of Fox’s reality cooking competition MasterChef season one in 2010, her fame exploded. When she won the $2.5 million cash prize and a cookbook deal with CBS, she was still a University of Southern Mississippi nutrition student.
Career
Whitney Miller called her life “a crazy journey” after leaving MasterChef. In the first four months following her victory, she wrote Modern Hospitality: Simple Recipes with Southern Charm, her debut cookbook, which was published in 2011.
Later, in 2015, she released Whitney Miller’s New Southern Table, her second cookbook.
She received a request to cook at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival’s ChefDance dinner series in addition to working on her book deals. Additionally, she was asked to fill the position of “chef de cuisine” at John Rivers’ restaurant The Coop.
Whitney has been equally busy developing new recipes for her fans on her website, whitneymiller.com, appearing on TV shows, and cooking for celebrities.
Recently, she joined former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee in the kitchen for an episode of his TBN television show on August 28, 2019.
Whitney Miller’s Married Life
Ryan Humphrey, a physician who graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with a doctorate in chiropractic, is married to Whitney Miller. Additionally, he founded The Post Chiropractic, a traveling chiropractic office in Tennessee.
Whitney and Ryan have been married since November 29, 2014, and they have two sons: Miller, who was born on August 23, 2016, and Harrison Scott Humphrey (born 15th March 2019).
In Franklin, Tennessee, the family resides.
On February 7, 2014, Whitney and her husband first met. On July 4th, they quickly got engaged, and in November of that same year, they said “I do.”
