Tyler Lepley Clears Out the Gay Rumor

Tyler Lepley was asked about the allegations about his sexuality in the Lip Service podcast of December 23, 2020, and he immediately stated that he is only romantically interested in women.

The actor, who prefers to keep his personal matters private, had to open up in order to dispel the rumors that had been floating around about him ever since he first entered the industry. The actor responded immediately when asked about the allegation of his homosexuality by Yee, Gigi Maguire, and Lore’l of the podcast, saying,

I remember when I first started out, I was seeing that here and there. For whatever reason, people were associating it with my first show.

As a result, the rumor began following Tyler Perry’s television series The Haves and the Have Nots, in which he portrayed Benny Young. The fans might have interpreted Lepley and Perry’s relationship incorrectly after seeing their tight relationship. Tyler Perry was also implicated in the LGBT rumors. The P-Valley star, speaking for both himself and Perry, remarked,

I came out on a Tyler Perry program, and for some reason, he receives such a bad rap. And Tyler [Perry], whom I personally know, is not gay. When I was around him, people started to think that “he’s rubbing off on me” and assumed that I was gay or something similar.

The actor went on to brag about an incident during his P-Valley filming that may have sparked the notion once more. When he spoke,

I had done something while I was on the set of ‘P-Valley.’ Maybe I was with Clifford or I think I was taking a picture with Alphonse, who plays Little Murda, and people started off with the gay thing again. I think if you have a space that people can’t figure out, they can create a judgment.

The actor made it very obvious that he is straight and disclosed that he is currently in a relationship in order to quell the endless rumors about his sexual orientation. Lepley mentioned having a son from his protracted engagement while withholding the specifics. He didn’t say whether he was married or in a relationship, though. Furthermore, it is unknown if the mother of his child is his wife or a lover.
