Instead, AD Todd got a G.T.E. operator, who told him what was going on and connected the call to F.B.I. agents. The phone remained connected for fifteen minutes as the Oracle employee and others planned to overtake the attackers.

Todd and other passengers had communicated with people on the plane and through cell phones. They were also aware that two planes had already crashed into the World Trade Center. Morgan’s father eventually had the flight attendants boil water and assemble whatever could be used as a weapon. He then instructed the GTE operator to phone his wife and children and tell them how much he loved them.

Just as he and the other passengers were going to repel the hijackers, Lisa’s husband yelled, “Let’s roll!” Beamer led his fellow passengers into the cockpit by breaking open the door with the drinks cart.

A brawl broke out, and the jet crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pa., rather than a Washington, D.C. landmark, killing all 44 persons on board. The jet that took out from Newark made a stop in San Francisco.

On September 11, it was the only carrier that did not kill anybody on the ground. Authorities then indicated that the hijackers were directing the plane toward Washington.

Todd was assisted in his courageous effort by Tom Burnett, Mark Bingham, and Jeremy Glick. Todd, along with the other men who helped avert the attack, got the Arthur Ashe Courage Award in 2002.

Lisa would create a book describing her husband’s tale entitled, “Let’s Roll.” She later also did over 200 media appearances within a year to raise awareness and money for the Todd Beamer Foundation.

Mrs. Beamer also appeared on shows, “Larry King Live,” “Good Morning America,” “Dateline,” “20/20,” “60 Minutes,” and “Oprah.”

To this day, she continues to speak for the children who had undergone trauma in addition to lobbying for several other such groups.

After the Sep 11 disaster, Lisa together with Todd’s friends formed the Todd Beamer Foundation to aid all the children who lost a parent on Sept. 11. There are at least 22 children who lost a parent on Flight 93 alone.

At the time, Lisa and the foundation also sought trademark protection for the term “Let’s Roll,” which they feel has become the nation’s battle cry in the combat against terrorism.

As for the condolences, vocalists and musicians, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma, created a CD for the foundation, portraying the dying moments of Flight 93.

The then-president Bush was also among many who called Lisa to offer congrats on the birth of Morgan.

Morgan Kay Beamer’s Mother Tries Not To Focus Too Much On Sep 11

Lisa has admitted to having Todd always in her thoughts but she has said she tries not to focus on the events of Sept. 11.

“If I see a photo of the crash site or something like that on TV, obviously I think through it in my thoughts. But I don’t focus too much on what happened that day,”

Mrs. Beamer said in Jan 2006 to ABC News. Lisa nonetheless admits to missing her late spouse every day. When the housewife turned novelist gave birth to Morgan, she had her sister-in-law at her side.

Much like Morgan who came home from the hospital to no father, Lisa too had lost her father when she was 15.

“Although pain dissipates over time, it doesn’t go away. I know that many years down the road we’ll still be sad in certain respects. But we’ll triumph, too,”

remarked Morgan’s mother post her husband’s death.

While it appears likely Lisa has moved on a fair bit since her husband’s loss, whether she has a new husband or not is a whole separate issue of hunches and conjectures. The reason that makes it tougher to interpret such a thesis is because of her secret lifestyle besides her activist activities and her speaking employment.

Morgan’s mom’s last reported appearance was at Wheaton College in Sep 2021. She was an honorable guest who delivered her message of hope during the college’s chapel service. It was also the 20th anniversary of the horrible events of 9/11.

Although Morgan didn’t get to see her father, her mother made sure Todd’s memories for the children stayed in their home. The mother of three always placed his photos at eye level for David and Drew.

Morgan’s late dad was a former baseball player at Fresno State and Wheaton College and he used to teach Sunday school. Her father was also a quarterback on the football team at Wheaton where her mom, Lisa was a cheerleader.

While not much about Morgan’s newest doings is in the news, most publications seem to classify her as a former student of Princeton High School, New Jersey where she also played lacrosse.

Although she is essentially a no-name on Instagram, she does appear to have had a handle on other social platforms such as Facebook. Though the front is generally dormant these days, it does say a few or two things about the now 20-year-old adolescent.

For starters, she is a graduate of Cranbury School, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Todd and his wife, Lisa’s daughter however now supposedly is a sophomore at Wheaton College and is likewise a defensive midfielder for its soccer squad.
