While attending the Royal Ballet School in London for training, he and Elizabeth became friends. The couple got engaged in Australia in 2010 and married on August 13, 2011, at Somerset House in London.
Three years later, on December 4, 2014, Steven and his wife Elizabeth had their first child, a daughter they named Audrey. Additionally, they added two sons to the family: Frederick Charles McRae (born on November 5, 2016) and Rupert George McRae (born on 31st August 2019).

She was born in UK’s Lincolnshire region. At the Skelton Hooper School of Dance and Theatre in Hull, she started dancing when she was six years old. She was a Junior Associate at The Royal Ballet School when she graduated in 2004 and joined the Norwegian National Ballet. She also completed a diploma in nutrition.
Elizabeth later became an artist at The Royal Ballet in 2007, was promoted to First Artist in 2008, and was made a soloist in 2013.

He has performed in a number of roles at The Royal Ballet up to this point, such as Magician/Mad Hatter in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Jack in Sweet Violets, Sandman in Hansel and Gretel, and Emble in The Age of Anxiety.
Steven has also appeared as an actor in a number of films. He played a dancer in the 2009 movie Acis and Galatea, and in The Nutcracker that same year, he played the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Prince.
He played Casino in the 2012 film Stealing Las Vegas, and he contributed to the 2013 short film The Whole Nine Meters. Two years later, in 2015, he portrayed Kenny in the short film Grimm Day. The following year, in 2016, he played The Creature in the Royal Ballet’s TV movie Frankenstein.
He was chosen to play Skimbleshanks in the 2019 release Cats from Universal Pictures and Working Title. Cats was adapted from the musical of the same name, which was based on TS Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. Steven plays an elderly ginger tabby cat who views himself as a very important member of the tribe in the movie. His primary responsibilities include working on the late-night postal trains.
