Marriage, life, and work
Despite being a New York native, Stephanie eventually relocated to Los Angeles to seek a career as a model. She struggled to succeed in the field and eventually moved into more of a design position. She met Taylor while she was living in LA; at their first encounter, he showed a lot of interest in her, and even though she first didn’t understand his advances, the two eventually grew close.
Corey had to travel frequently for work, but he was committed to their connection and flew back to her in 2008 when they were able to start dating.
They both enjoyed listening to metal music, and she had numerous tattoos on her body and arms. She walked down the aisle to the Metallica song “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” not one of the more traditional love songs, which brought a little attention to their marriage. Before filing for an immediate divorce, the pair were married for eight years.
Former spouse Corey Taylor
Corey Taylor was mostly reared by his mother, and they had early hardships due to their precarious living situation.
Professional Life And Career
Even though he didn’t initially picture himself in a band, watching “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” and “Halloween” gave him the concept for Slipknot. Before being exposed to rock music, he developed a fascination for horror themes and masks; two of his earliest musical influences were Black Sabbath and Elvis Presley.
Later, the family relocated to an old farmhouse, and when living became difficult, he developed a dependence on narcotics, especially cocaine.
His grandma aided him with his musical talents in exchange for taking care of him so he could finish his studies and attend school. He later admitted that he became addicted to drugs as a result of a friend’s sexual assault on him after making threats to harm his mother.
Stone Sour, a hard rock band he founded in 1992, was born. He was approached by Slipknot, who extended an invitation for him to join the band as the lead vocalist after they published two demos in just two years.
He joined as the sixth person but chose the number eight because it represented infinity. The band initially had trouble, but producers were interested after hearing a demo.
Taylor’s Gain
After a few months, he became Slipknot’s primary vocalist, and the band’s self-titled debut album topped the Heatseekers chart. The band gained recognition as a rising metal act because of its successful US sales. In quick succession, they published the albums “Iowa” and “Vol. 3: (Subliminal Verses),” both of which went well on the Billboard Charts. Next, they released “All Hope Is Gone,” which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200.
Taylor also continued to work on a debut album with his previous group Stone Sour while he was with Slipknot. This record had a big impact on the Billboard 200. Their follow-up album, “Come What(ever) May,” had an even greater effect and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. They released “Audio Secrecy,” their third album, in 2010.
Later on in his career, he concentrated on performing as a guest musician with other bands, such as Apocalyptica, Steel Panther, and Code Orange.
He played with other bands so that he could use another creative outlet and perform songs that weren’t appropriate for his primary group.
Personal Life
Taylor was previously married to Scarlett from 2004 until 2007, thus Luby was not his first union. He attributes her to help him overcome his drinking; they have two kids together. He wed Luby in 2009 during a ceremony at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. Except for a few joint photo shoots, the pair largely avoided the spotlight throughout their marriage.
Taylor went public in 2017 and said that he had been separated from Luby for about a year, following reports of separation and a lot of verbal abuse on his son’s Instagram account. Following the conclusion of their divorce, he began dating Alicia Dove, with whom he later got married in 2019. After she and Corey split up, Luby gradually disappeared from view.
