Career
When Steph McGovern was 19 years old, she was given the opportunity to work for BBC after appearing as a guest on a show on women in science. After that, she was able to secure a position as a part-time researcher at Tomorrow’s World.
She was hired by Radio 4’s Today program to serve as the show’s primary producer for daily financial news after graduating. There, she had the opportunity to manage various international projects and conduct interviews with several well-known corporate figures.
Later, along with the former business editor, Robert Peston, Steph joined the BBC as a lead producer of business news on the organization’s primary news bulletins. She then began to demonstrate her abilities and establish a personal brand on air. She has served as a business presenter for the Chris Evans show on BBC 5 live and Radio 2.
