With the win, Flair has now won the women’s championship on five occasions in the Raw brand and fourteen times altogether throughout her stint with WWE. After the bout was abandoned, Ripley attacked Flair, adding insult to injury.
The two brawled again in the ring before the Aussie finally defeated The Queen with Riptide.
Officials from WWE Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville addressed the incident the following night on Raw and concurred that Flair deserved another crack at the title. She received her rematch at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view as a result. The Queen had three title chances on Sunday after being excluded from the WrestleMania 37 event and participating in a Triple Threat with Asuka and Ripley at WrestleMania Backlash.
