Ramon, the husband of Priya Bapodra, works as an aquatic programs keeper and dive safety officer at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Delaware County, Ohio.
He is in charge of regularly caring for the tropical saltwater creatures at the zoo.
His typical day at work includes maintaining the aquarium, performing routine aquarium maintenance, managing the diets of the animals, and other duties. Additionally, safeguarding the corals that were saved is one of his biggest zoo efforts.
Ramon, who is of mixed race, was raised in Eastern Ohio. He mostly spent his childhood exploring the area and snagging fish, crayfish, and snakes.
He later earned his schooling from the University of Akron in zoology and ecology after realizing his enthusiasm for comprehending animal life and the environment.
Ramon has also had positions at SeaWorld Orlando Park, Discovery Cove in Florida, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium throughout his career.
A Look Into Priya Bapodra Bio
Priya, who is British by birth, works at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as well. She attends to the health needs of almost 10,000 animals at the zoo as a senior veterinarian.
Priya’s parents recognized her passion for animals when she was a young girl and provided her with all the encouragement she needed to pursue a profession in veterinary medicine.
She studied at Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and graduated with a master’s in the health of wild animals.
She joined the Columbus Zoo’s permanent staff in 2012 after finishing her residency in conservation medicine there in Wilds, Ohio, and has remained there ever since.
