Marianne Williamson’s Presidential Campaign

Following the initial formation of an exploratory committee on November 15, 2018, Marianne Williamson declared her candidacy for president of the United States on January 28, 2019.

However, she had previously run as an independent in 2014 for the 33rd congressional district of California. This was her second political campaign.

She later declared she was terminating her presidential candidacy and vowed to back the eventual Democratic nominee on January 10, 2020.

In contrast to her statements, she declared on February 23 in Austin, Texas, that she was endorsing Bernie Sanders.
