Lisa Salters: Early Life, Age, Wiki, Parents, Ethnicity

On March 6, 1966, Lisa Salters was born in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

She attended Penn State University, where she played on the women’s basketball team, to earn her degree in broadcast journalism. With a height of 5 feet and 2 inches, she was the shortest guard in school history (1.57 meters).

On October 13, 2018, she was selected to serve as Penn State’s “Homecoming Grand Marshal”; each year, the title is bestowed upon a notable Penn State graduate who has exemplified the school’s principles throughout his or her career.

Lisa was admitted to the “Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame” a year earlier, in 2017.

Son Details

Samuel and Lisa Salters are currently residing in their four-level loft-style townhouse in Fell’s Point, Baltimore (Sam).

She only returned to Baltimore from California because of her son, who she adopted and received legal custody of one day after his birth in March 2013, and for whom she had worked as a reporter at WBAL-TV from 1988 to 1995.

Lisa attended the birth of her son. That evening, she and Samuel shared a hospital room.

Six weeks after becoming a mom, she remarked that her time with the newborn had made her feel the happiest she had ever been.

Adoption Story

Being a parent had always been Lisa Salters’ dream. She attempted to become pregnant on her own for a number of years but was unsuccessful.

She joined an agency, knowing the process would be difficult and that she would have fewer chances than married couples because she was a single woman, but she was determined not to quit.

She did, however, receive the call she had been so badly yearning for in the middle of February 2013. She was selected by a young woman to be a potential mom for her biological child.

The decision was made shortly after Lisa and the woman met.
