On July 10, 2019, he re-signed a two-year contract with Magic. On March 26, 2021, Birch set a career-high with 15 rebounds, 14 points, four steals, and four assists in a 112-105 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

He was also fired by the Magic on April 8.
