Her mother Francoise Schofield, her father Colin Schofield, and her older brother Clarence make up her family.

Justine Schofield developed a love of cooking early on. She spent weekends in the kitchen with her French mother and her grandmother, who was an expert in traditional French cooking, as a child instead of playing outside with the neighborhood kids.

After completing her schooling, she began working in sales but quickly left to pursue her two greatest loves: food and travel.

Fortunately, in 2009, she was given the chance to take part in the first season of the Australian food competition game show, Masterchef Australia. She participated in the competition, wowing the judges with the depth of her culinary knowledge and her cool, methodical approach to meal preparation. Out of 7000 applications, she was selected in fourth place.

Then, in 2011, she started hosting her own Network 10 program called Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield, which gained popularity over the course of its succeeding seasons.

She also competed in the television competition Masterchef Australia All-Stars in 2012. She had an appearance in the TV series Tropical Gourmet: New Caledonia in 2016 and in the TV mini-series documentaries Justine’s Flavours of Fuji, Outback Gourmet, and Tropical Gourmet Queensland in 2018.
