Josh Gates is a television host, producer, and author best known for his previous work as the host of the Destination Truth and Stranded paranormal investigative reality television series on the Syfy channel.
Presenter and co-executive producer, he presently works on the Travel Channel shows Expedition Unknown and Legendary Locations.
He took home the “Best Host” prize at the 2016 CableFax Program Awards for his work on Expedition Unknown. The following year, the series won “Best Educational/Instructional Show” recognition. The program later received the Cynopsis TV Award for “Best Reality Series – Travel” in 2018.
