Marchessault now joins former Rempart colleagues Ryan Bourque and Kelsey Tessier. Marchessault made his professional debut with the Whales in 2011-12.
On October 9, 2011, Marchessault scored the game-winning penalty goal against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in his second professional game.

Jonathan joined the Lightning’s affiliate team, the Syracuse Crunch, following the trade.
He played 64 games for Syracuse before being called up by the Lightning for the last regular-season game on April 11, 2015, to replace an injured teammate.
Jonathan is a member of Lightning’s affiliate team, the Syracuse Crunch.
As a result, on April 11, he scored his first NHL goal in a win over the Boston Bruins. Similarly, he was dubbed “the game’s first star” by the assembled media.
