Along with co-hosts Lauren Bohlander and Bruno Massel, he serves as the show’s primary mechanic, also referred to as the lead constructor. He’d aspired to be a diesel mechanic since he was in third grade. He used to disassemble his toys to examine how they worked in reality. Furthermore, learning how to be more inventive with the tools at hand came from growing up on his grandfather’s farm.

Joe Zolper and Jennifer (Jenny) Zolper, a businesswoman and skilled racecar driver, exchanged wedding vows in the year 2000. Ruby Zolper is now Joe and Jennifer’s daughter. Ruby is a natural at racing cars, much like her parents. She started her junior dragster career in 2017 and finished second to the other junior dragsters in the 2018 Route 66 Awards. She received a trophy and a jacket as part of the prize.

The family was last seen on social media on January 18, 2020, when Joe revealed that his wife had been battling an infection since March 2019 due to knee surgery. She’s been confined to the sofa as a result for about a year as of this date.
