Isobel Yeung is a producer and a multi-award-winning correspondent for the HBO series VICE. She was very interested in journalism from a young age and worked in China for numerous Asian and English TV stations, reporting and creating programs. She also contributed there to prestigious international magazines such as South China Morning Post, The Independent, The Telegraph, and The Guardian.
Isobel Yeung enhanced her career by securing a contributional job on HBO’s VICE News Tonight alongside Canadian journalist Shane Smith after serving in China for four years. Isobel was the first foreign correspondent for Vice to work with coastguards in the hub of migrant smuggling in Libya and speak with people who were detained. She even went to Uganda to meet some of the anti-gay leaders, educating Uganda’s youngsters on intolerance and revealing alarming parallels between their message and the teachings that American fundamentalists had been promoting for years.
She received an Emmy nomination for her ground-breaking reporting on VICE. She further received Gracie and Front Page honors for highlighting Afghan women’s rights concerns that were no longer in the news.

Isobel is not embarrassed to post love photos of herself and her partner on social media. Her lover has no qualms about professing his love for her in front of others.
