Moreno was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, on January 7, 1988. Cesar Moreno and Alcira Herrera brought him into the world.
His hometown, Culiacan, is the center of baseball, and when he was a kid, he cheered for the Culiacan Tomateros, a team in the local league.
