He worked as an intern for many Washington State television news stations while attending college and earning his degree. Sreenivasan acquired American citizenship in September 2008.
In terms of his professional career, he joined Raleigh, North Carolina’s NBC station WNCN-TV full-time in 1995. He then relocated to San Francisco, California, where he worked as a high-tech reporter for CNET. Then, in 2004, Sreenivasan worked in New York City as an ABC News correspondent. Together with Taina Hernandez, he co-hosted The Behind the Scene podcast ABC News Shuffle and joined World News Now as co-anchor. He also served as a correspondent for CBS News’ Texas bureau at the start of 2009.
