Giorgio Tavecchio, the famous Placekicker, was born on July 16, 1990, in Milan, Italy, to Renato Tavecchio and Gabriella Tavecchio. Renato, his father, is Italian, and Gabriella, his mother, is Italian-American.

Because Giorgio’s mother worked for the American government, the Tavecchio family relocated all over the world. Their family later relocated to San Francisco.

During his senior year, Tavecchio had his best statistical kicking performance against Arizona State, which he won 47-38.

Giorgio was not invited to the NFL Combine before the draft. It rained all day before any drills at the California Golden Bears pro day.

He continued with his planned drills. He was unable to demonstrate his abilities, however, because every NFL scout went into an indoor practice facility. Giorgio went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft and remained unsigned.

He later tried out for the NFL team San Francisco 49ers, where he was the only kicker available.
