She was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on May 6, 1971, to a Canadian father and a Polish mother. Her father used to sell office furniture and was a salesman. She has two siblings, George Carr II and Joseph Carr, who are both her brothers.
She attended Mount Holyoke College to study French. She subsequently received her MBA in Business from ESCP in Paris. She finally enrolled in the Actor’s Studio to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

Geneva grew up wanting to work in banking, and she did work on Wall Street for a French bank. But after viewing an off-Broadway show, she revised her career aspirations. She then submitted her letter of resignation, following which she was cast as Kathy in the 1997 television series Spin City. Following that, she appeared in a number of television shows, including Sex and the City, Chappelle’s Show, Third Watch, Jonny Zero, Hope and Faith, Rescue Me, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The Three Little Wolves, Neurotica, One Last Thing, Then She Found Me, College Road Trip, Company Retreat, It’s Complicated, and other films eventually signed her.
Geneva’s two short films, Karma and Klutz, which are currently in post-production, will be released in 2020.
