The six years that American comic Emily Fortune Feimster has been married to her devoted wife Jacquelyn Smith are being commemorated. The couple married in 2020 after dating for more than five years, and their love only deepens with time.

The stand-up comedian Fortune Feimster and Jacquelyn Smith announced their engagement in January 2018 and exchanged vows in October 2020.
Their wedding took place in a secluded location in Malibu, California, during the COVID pandemic, with a few close friends attending their big day.
Smith looked stunning in the white Halston dress, while Feimster wore an eye-catching blue suit. The wedding was made even more magical by the venue’s captivating seaside views.
The stand-up comedian revealed their relationship’s specifics to People,
I was happy. Our relationship has lasted for five and a half years. After five and a half years, you’re in trouble if you still don’t know who you’re getting married to. I was aware that it felt right and pleasant.
Additionally, the pair decided not to wait much longer and get married with the necessary safety procedures, keeping the wedding small, considering the unpredictability of the overall pandemic situation. Smith added on this by saying,
We just made a decision since it’s just too difficult to plan anything and we don’t know when this will end. Therefore, we only engaged in a brief, simple activity with our buddies.
Feimster and Smith first connected at Pride in June 2015, a month after the US Supreme Court approved same-sex unions. The couple couldn’t waste any more time and moved on to the next stage of their love after almost two years of engagement.
Feimster took to Instagram on June 27 to celebrate their six years of being together and to thank Smith for being in her life. Additionally, they routinely share each other’s happy moments on their separate social media accounts, demonstrating their unquestionable love for one another.
Fortune Feimster Shares Her Self-Discovery Journey
The comedian, who stars in the Netflix series Sweet & Salty, opened up about her upbringing and the specifics of how she came out as homosexual.
The comedian told People that it was her first time performing such autobiographical stand-up and that she had found that the anecdotes about her childhood had the most impact on her audience.
She discusses the episode and the occasion when she came out to her mother. And fortunately, her mother proved to be a great supporter of her decision to talk about it.
Feimster’s parents did encourage her, although she struggled with insecurity, which she described as,
Even if you have the most loving family imaginable, I believe that coming out is terrifying for everyone. You have a part of you that worries, “What if my parents detest me now? ”
She was open about her challenges with body image through the Netflix show in addition to her coming out narrative. She continued by saying,
Even the thinnest, most attractive individuals I know are like, “Ugh, I hate my body.” say, what? In my special, I say that. I weighed 10.5 pounds at birth. I was always a huge kid because I’m a big baby.
Later, the comedian, who had been worried about her health, realized the importance of adopting some healthier habits and said that she had scheduled a weight-loss visit with a doctor.
Feimster, who isn’t afraid to talk about or make jokes about her body image, also shed 40 pounds through a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Feimster, now 41 years old, was born to Mike and Giner Feimster in 1980. The North Carolina native relocated to Los Angeles to pursue higher education and enrolled in Peace College after completing his high school studies at South Point High School.
She joined The Groundlings Theatre and began acting classes, beginning her journey toward a profession in the arts. Her intelligence finally got her a job at the Groundings Sunday Company.
The Yes Day actress made her film debut with The Secret Life of Dork after receiving significant notice for her comedy. She has since acted in a number of additional movies, including Father of the Year, Chick Fight, Soul, etc.
