Raleigh, a city in North Carolina, is where she was born. She went to St. Mary’s College to study. She later enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1987, where she eventually earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

She further studied at Mississippi State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience.


The Emmy-winning individual had worked for WGHP-TV in 1990 before joining WRAL-TV. In March 1994, she eventually quit her employment.

She finally joined WRAL-TV in 1998, and she has been working there since with all of her heart.
