American news personality Eden Checkol is well-known for her outstanding contributions to journalism and news. She works at WISN 12 News as a reporter and anchor for the 4:30 a.m. version of WISN 12 News This Morning and 12 News at 11 a.m. on weekdays.

She has covered a range of significant news during her years as a reporter. She has spoken with a variety of people, including the man from Janesville who mailed a manifesto to US President Donald Trump and set off a massive manhunt, the man who located Joseph Jakubowksi, and the man who took some lethal weapons from a gun store.

Eden was one of the journalists that spent hours reporting on the deadly explosion at the Didion Milling Plant in Cambria.

Born on February 23, 1993, in Twin Cities, Minnesota, Eden Checkol is a native.

In the beginning, she attended Roseville Area High School. She enrolled at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2010 after completing her high school studies. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in arts, communication, and journalism, which she received in 2014. Business administration is one of her other minors.

Eden is five feet five inches tall (1.68 meters).

Eden Checkol was brought up by her mother Belle and her father Meseret Chekol Reta. She is a hybrid of American and Ethiopian ancestry.

Meseret, her father, formerly instructed journalism at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Her father graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Ph.D., a master’s in political science, and a master’s in public communication.

Eden credited her father as being her greatest inspiration. She regrettably lost her father’s love in November 2012.

The Quest for Press Freedom, the culmination of her late father’s years of writing, was released after his passing on May 25, 2013.

Career

Eden Checkol’s path to success began in August 2011 when she began working as an intern at Clear Channel, where she remained until April 2012. She then worked from June to August 2012 as a researcher at the University of St. Thomas’ Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program.

After that, she began working for a variety of other media outlets, including TommieMedia.com (from January 2013 to May 2013), NWCT Channel 12 (from June 2013 to August 2013), WCCO-TV (from September 2013 to December 2013), KSTP-TV Channel 5 (from February 2014 to May 2014), KBJR-TV (from October 2014 to August 2015), and WISC-TV (from August 2015 to November 2017).

Eden finally joined WISN-TV in November 2017, and ever since then, she has been working there and demonstrating her skills.
