College Life
DeMarre Carroll played college basketball at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. However, he struggled in his first year. He averaged 4.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 34 games.
However, he made significant progress in his second year. As a sophomore, he averaged 10.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, after his second year, he was diagnosed with liver disease and did not play in any games in 2006. He also claimed to have an allergy, making it difficult for him to play.
