Dan Payne is a Canadian actor best known for portraying “John” in the 2006 Canadian TV series Alice, I Think, which was based on the same-named book by Susan Juby.

Dan also played the role of “Nathan Davidson,” a married, sexually-repressed parent in the 2008 movie Mulligans, and he still regards it as one of his best achievements.

Dan Payne is a tall man, standing at 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 meters).

Daniel Boyd Payne was given the name Daniel on August 4, 1972, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

His family relocated frequently as he was growing up, to villages and cities of different sizes. Dan and his siblings, brother Josh and sister Cathy, were the best of friends as a result of the frequent family vacations.

Josh is what Dan refers to as his “life guru.”

Dan Payne played volleyball for the U of C Dinosaurs before beginning his acting career. He relocated from Holland to Australia with his brother after retiring. While there, he developed his love of the arts and turned into a successful photographer. He and his brother Josh soon started aggressively pursuing their ambition of acting, and photography quickly became a side gig for them.

The Payne brothers began performing stand-up comedy in productions that they co-wrote and co-directed.

Dan next traveled to the UK, employed an agency, started attending auditions, and continued to study acting while playing on stage and in movies.

The Steam Engines of Oz, Star Trek Beyond, Warcraft, No Clue, and A Christmas Story 2 are just a few of his significant cinematic credits.

Married Status

Since November 28th, 2003, Dan Payne has been wed to Daylon Payne. According to Daylon’s Instagram account, she specializes in selling West Third in North Vancouver.

Elijah and Grayson Payne, both boys, were born to the couple during their marriage in 2008 and 2010, respectively (born in 2011).

Dan and Daylon frequently post pictures of their family on social media. The family was last heard from on January 3, 2020, when they were enjoying the snow at Cypress Mountain during the holidays.
