The Story of American Idol

Bianca Ryan learned in 2006 that American Idol judge Simon Cowell was serving as executive producer for a new show called America’s Got Talent. And the tryouts in New York were taking place on the same day that her family was visiting the city. Looking around at the other contenders, she almost departed without performing. But when her father told her the top prize was $1 million, she opted to stay.
