Ashley Bouder, an American ballet dancer, is currently a principal dancer of the New York City Ballet, which was established in 1948 by George Balanchine and choreographer Lincoln Kirstein.

At the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Ashley Bounder first started taking ballet lessons at the age of six from Maria Dale Weary. She participated in the Summer Program at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official training facility for the New York City Ballet, in 1999. She was then given the opportunity by SAB to complete her training during the Winter Session.

Ashley joined the corps de ballet and after that year was chosen as an apprentice with New York. She received the Mae L. Wien Award for Outstanding Promise in the same year. She was given the Janice Levin Dancer Award in 2003.

She received a promotion to the position of Soloist in February 2004 and was made a lead dancer in January 2005.
