Lyngstad’s Educational Framework

Career

Arne Lyngstad has spent the majority of his adult life engaged in full-time politics.
In the 1970s, the politician held positions of trust with the Christian People’s Youth and the Norwegian Total Holding Company Youth Association on a local and regional level.
Arne was a member of various groups, including the DNTU’s national government from 1981 to 1983, Nord-Trondelag KrF’s youth secretary from 1981 to 1982, and school political leader from 1982 to 1983, among others.
He worked with KrF in the 1990s as an investigative secretary, committee leader, and political adviser. He also served as the commander of Sor-Trondelag KrF from 1990 to 1992.
He served as a deputy member of the Verdal municipal council as an elected member from 1984 to 1987.
He also served on the county council of Nord-Trondelag (1988–1991) and the municipal council of Trondheim (1992–1995).
He was the Storting’s representative for Nord-Trondelag from 1997 to 2005, and a member of the Storting’s Church, Education, and Research Committee from 1997 to 2001).
Arne was the head of the Storting’s Nordic Council delegation in 2003.
He was a board member of RUS-free from 2006 to 2007, a political adviser to KrF’s Storting Group from 2006 to 2007, and a director of the diaconal Lukas Foundation from 2007 to 2008.
