Amy Tarkanian, a mother of four and the former Nevada GOP chairperson, experienced a difficult period when her little son had an ischemic stroke at age five. She created Tark Toy Drive, a nonprofit organization that distributes toys to sick children in hospitals, in order to turn the tragic situation into a goal.

Amy Tarkanian after witnessing her own son, Jerry, have a stroke at the young age of five, the charitable mother came up with the simple notion of giving toys to children in hospitals.

She explained that he would be gripping his stuffed animal out of dread while having his test at the hospital, which would provide him with some brief solace. Fortunately, her son made a full recovery from the stroke, but she couldn’t help but worry about other sick children.

She had the idea to start Tark Toy Drive after seeing how a toy had gotten him through his hospital exam and how she might use it to help other children.

Gift distribution at the UMC and Valley Children’s Hospital in California started in March 2016 after almost a year of toy gathering through charity. Her entire family makes an effort to console sick youngsters.

In 2001, Daniel George John Tarkanian, an attorney, and businessman, and Tarkanian got married. Daniel is known for being the son of Jerry Tarkanian, a well-known American basketball coach.

Louis, Ashley, Ava, and Jerry are the couple’s four children; Ashley and Ava are identical twins. Furthermore, the whole family resides in Los Angeles.
