Amanda Salas learned that she had lymphoma, a type of cancer, in 2019. She fiercely fought it, though, and didn’t let her hope to go. Additionally, she enthusiastically supported September as Lymphoma Awareness Month as both a celebrity host and a survivor.
She also participated in a pancake breakfast put on by the Los Angeles Fire Department, which raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
After a year-long cancer struggle, Amanda announced that she would be joining Fox 11 in 2020, sending her fans into a frenzy.

Since April 2017, Amanda Salas has worked for FOX 11 as an entertainment reporter. But from 2014 to 2017, she hosted Hollywood Today Live, which aired on FOX 11 and My13. This was before she was asked to become a permanent correspondent. She began her career in 2008 at the Orange County Register before moving on to FOX 11.
