Afon Williamson, who portrayed the role of LAPD training officer “Talia Bishop” in the ABC police drama The Rookie, announced her departure from the show to her 24.6 thousand Instagram followers on August 6th. She cited being the victim of bullying, racist remarks, sexual harassment, and sexual assault as the cause for her declaration.
She charged sexual harassment against actor Demetrius Grosse, who portrayed “Detective Kevin Wolfe” in the first season’s five episodes.

She also accused the head of the show’s hair department, (Sallie) Nicole Ciganovich, of bullying that culminated in a sexual assault at the wrap party and was motivated by ethnic discrimination.
USA TODAY contacted Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment, for additional comments. Karey admitted to the reporters that she was “frustrated,” lacked many of the answers they were seeking and would be making a decision in light of the information gleaned during the probe.
When The Rookie was renewed for a second season in May 2019, ABC announced that Afton would be replaced with a new character in the fourth episode of the current season.
