Professional Career
Prior to launching WeWork, Adam created the Krawlers, a children’s apparel business. Later on, he and WeWork’s other co-founder, McKelvey, started working together. Mutual friends brought them together. They created Green Desk, the first shared-workspace startup focusing on sustainability, in 2008, and this was the beginning of WeWork.
After selling their Green Desk shares for $15 million, they went on to co-found the well-known WeWork in 2010. In 2018, it was revealed that the company was being sued by an ex-employee for sexual harassment and other improper conduct. Later that year, a separate board of directors urged Adam to resign from his position at the business.
