Jade Castrinos was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of eleven. She lived in Treasure Island, Florida, until she was four years old, and then she and her family relocated to Las Flores Canyon, Malibu, where she spent the most of her childhood.

Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes announced their split with Jade Castrinos in June 2014. The band was getting ready to embark on their most recent North American tour.
“We didn’t feel good conducting this tour with Jade,” Ebert allegedly said, refusing to go into details “out of respect for Jade.” That fact shatters my heart in ways I can’t express.”
The vocalist took to Instagram after being fired from the band and wrote,
“I sang and wrote songs with Edward Sharpe for seven years.” They voted me off the tour through email a week before they left. lol.”

Her Ex-Bandmates Explain Why She Left
“Anyone on here who thinks the tale could be as horribly and plainly presented as Jade conveniently did has no understanding what this band has always been about,” the band wrote in a long Facebook post in response to her Instagram post.
“It is beneath you and it is grotesquely destructive,” they said at the end of the message to those who were seeing it otherwise.
In June 2014, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes parted ways with Jade Castrinos. In 2015, the band attempted to explain the reasons behind their and Jade’s split once more. They posted on their Facebook page,
“You should be aware that Jade resigned. We didn’t evict her. We requested that she skip one tour. So she resigned and informed you that she had been fired.”
The band also stated on Facebook that they had given it a lot of thought before making such a choice, and that it was not made as a form of punishment.
What Is Jade Castrinos Doing Right Now?
When asked what her next move would be after quitting the band, Jade replied,
“No matter what, the grand plan is to create, sing, and play forever.”
She also revealed that after leaving the band, she went to a songwriters’ colony on Nantucket, where she met some collaborators and got a sense of what she wanted to do with her records.
She collaborated with Jakob Dylan on a few occasions
