Halen gave up drugs and alcohol for good after marrying Janie. Halen previously married actress Valarie Bertinelli in 1981.

After 25 years of marriage, they divorced in 2006. Janie’s late husband, Bertinelli, had a son with her, Wolfgang Van Halen. Van Halen’s first marriage to Bertinelli ended in divorce due in part to Van Halen’s drug and alcohol addiction.

Janie Liszewski’s husband passed away from cancer.

Eddie Van Halen, her husband of more than ten years, died of throat cancer on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Following her husband’s death in October, the Van Halen frontman’s wife posted a lengthy and heartfelt Instagram message that read,

“My heart and soul were shattered into a million pieces. I had no idea it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such intense sadness… Saying goodbye is the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do, so instead I say farewell, I’ll see you soon in a place without pain or sorrow.”

Doctors discovered Lewziski’s husband’s mouth cancer in 2000, and the guitarist underwent tongue surgery. Later, the Dreams singer was diagnosed with lung cancer and received radiation treatment in Germany.

Eddie was involved in a motorcycle accident in early 2019. He also battled a brain tumor and underwent gamma knife radiosurgery to treat the illness.

His wife, Janie, was by his side at the time of his death, as were his son, Wolfgang, his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli, and Alex, Eddie’s brother and drummer.

Janie had lost both her mother and her brother. Her husband died the same year.

Halen was not the first or the last loved one that Janie lost in 2020. Contrary to her successful career, Janie experienced tragic incidents throughout 2020.

It started when she first lost her brother Tom on June 17, 2020. Four months after this tragic incident, her husband, legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen passed away in October 2020.

The misery increased when Janie’s mother passed away on 23 November 2020, two months after the loss of Eddie.

Liszewski Too Suffered Cancer

Liszewski’s late husband wasn’t the only member of her family who learned to navigate cancer scares and treatments. She has spent years in and out of the doctor’s office.

In 2019, the ballroom dancer wrote on Instagram that doctors had been monitoring abnormal nodules in her thyroid for years because they could lead to cancer.

“I was finally cleared and told that they had not grown/changed and were not cancerous. “I am overjoyed and grateful.”

The ex-stuntwoman spoke of her cancer battle. However, after some time, the doctors gave her the all-clear because the nodules were found to be non-cancerous.

Liszewski experienced another scare two years later, this time regarding her breasts. She, too, survived, but it took her two attempts to get through the biopsy.

She wrote of it,

“I had a severe panic attack. “There was a flood of emotions and a lot of pain when the needle was inserted and I passed out.”

A week later, Liszewski revealed on Instagram that the lumps in her breasts were harmless. Even though her experiences were emotionally draining for her, Liszewski now uses her story to inspire others.

Janie has occasionally discussed cancer and its prevention measures since her cancer battle. She frequently sends messages to people on her social media to remind them to stay on top of their health and to follow up on monitoring, tests, or appointments.

What Is Janie Liszewski’s Net Worth? Did Janie Liszewski inherit Eddie Van Halen’s fortune?

Janie’s late husband was a multi-millionaire. He amassed his $100 million net worth primarily through his music career, which he began in the 1970s. With 10 studio albums and 56 million units sold, Liszewski’s husband’s band was one of the best-selling in the United States.

In later years, Halen added his guitar line, EVH, as another source of income. Not to mention that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame owned some real estate. His clothing business added to his fortune.

While it has been reported that Halen did leave a will at the time of his death, the specifics of the terms and conditions have yet to be made public.

What people or online sources have widely discussed is how his family members each received a million-dollar property. His wife Janie, brother Alex, son Wolfgang, and reportedly some of his ex-wife Valerie are among the primary beneficiaries.

In any case, the figures that Liszewski inherited remain a source of speculation and conjecture. What can be safely assumed is that Janie must be in good financial standing, owing to her husband’s nine-figure net worth.
