One Surgery After Another Bodybuilding
As appealing as it appears has a cost. Aside from the obvious physical effort to put, there is an unseen struggle going on behind the scenes. The same may be said for Ronnie Coleman. Coleman, widely regarded as the best bodybuilder to ever exist on the planet, has undergone a succession of surgeries one after the other.
Ronnie recovered from yet another back surgery at the age of 55. After nine previous surgeries, fate continued to be harsh to the bodybuilder on September 19, 2018, when he was admitted to the hospital for his tenth surgery.
Ronnie updated his fans on his health issue in an Instagram post with the comment
“Here we go again, this is surgery number 10 for me today. This is my third one this year as I had one back surgery in February, a fusion. Then I had another three weeks later to fix the screws that had broken from the surgery in February. I’m hoping and praying that this is my final surgery.”
Following the news of his tenth surgery, admirers all over the world prayed for the former bodybuilder’s health. The prayers had a wonderful consequence, as Ronnie himself shared the tale of his successful surgery on Instagram.
“Just wanted everybody to know that the surgery was a huge success. Have a scar from my ass all the way up to my ribs. Will be in the hospital all weekend though to control this massive pain.”
What Is Ronnie Coleman Up To Now?
Coleman confronted many challenges in his body while carrying out the difficult chore of bodybuilding. He’d recover from an injury and be back in the operating room in no time.
In such conditions, he has said goodbye to the competitive bodybuilding scene and now spends most of his time with family and friends.
Though he is living life to the fullest, injuries appear to trouble him from time to time. In January 2019, he had Level Neck Fusion surgery, with the option of future spine corrective surgery.
Despite suffering through a lot in life, he inspires others with his life adventure, which he has included in his new book, which will be released on September 20, 2019. Aside from that, the eight-time Mr. Olympia Champion’s spirits were high as he projected the winner of the 2019 Olympia in a video, demonstrating some of his own skills in the person.
Coleman is still quite active on his YouTube account as of 2021, posting videos about bodybuilding and fitness. On YouTube, he has 1.09 million subscribers.
Ronnie’s life is complete when he works out and has a wife
Despite suffering some of the most difficult and painful injuries of his career, Ronnie’s passion for working out hasn’t waned one bit. After ten surgeries, the bodybuilder continues to work out like a beast.
Aside from his love of working out, his life is complete due to his wife, Susan Coleman, a longtime Ronnie girlfriend. The pair married on April 11, 2016, and has two kids, Valencia and Jamilah. On Instagram, he frequently publishes photos of himself with his daughter and family.
Coleman took to Instagram on their fourth wedding anniversary to share a flashback photo of their wedding and expresses his love and thanks to her in the comments.
Ronnie, who stands at 5 feet 11 inches (1.80m), used to have physique measurements that every other bodybuilder envied. The bodybuilder has a net worth of $2 million as a result of his exceptional records.
