On February 20, 1973, in Ada, Oklahoma, Kaynette “Katt” Williams was born.
But according to her current Facebook, she is from Jesse, Oklahoma. Some claim that Kaynette, a Pisces, also goes by the name Kaynette Francis Gern. She has used several aliases throughout the years, including Kaynette Gern, Kaynette Shelton, and Kaynette Scheck.
The daughter of a US veteran, Kaynette Williams is the ex-wife of Blake Shelton.
Additionally, a US veteran’s daughter, Kay Kast-Gern, who had a knack for singing since she was little, apparently wanted to pursue a career in music.
She also has a brother and a sister, Orpha Gern-Reese.

In Ada, Oklahoma, where both Williams and Shelton were born, they first ran into each other. Since they were in their mid-teens, the two had known one another. Shelton admitted to Country Weekly in December 2003 that he had always known his first blonde wife, Kaynette, was the one.
“I can’t say it’s because we get along or because of the way she looks just because I can’t explain it. You get what I mean when I say it’s just something I feel. It merely entails understanding that you are correct.

The wedding of Shelton and Kaynette featured only a small number of guests. But before that, the former made a very out-of-the-ordinary yet traditional marriage proposal to Williams. The twenty-time Voice panelist claimed that he carried it out in the early hours of a December morning after returning from a hunting trip.
After she said yes, AD Shelton said they ultimately went back to the hunting area and spent the rest of the day partying with some pals. On November 17, 2003, Williams and Shelton exchanged vows in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The modest ceremony only featured Williams, Shelton, the pastor, and a photographer. Williams donned Demetrios wedding gown while Shelton rocked Wranglers, boots, and a cowboy hat.
Explaining the low-key nuptials, Shelton stated,
“Our whole lives are always in the public view, and we live on a bus with 10 other people. There are just always people around. We never have time for us, so it felt like the perfect way to do this.”

Kaynette Williams And Blake Shelton’s Divorce
For the first two years of their marriage, Shelton traveled and performed extensively, with Williams continuing to function as his road manager.
By the third year of their marriage, however, rifts started to develop and they eventually split ways in February 2006, the legal divorce date. In their divorce proceedings, Williams alleged Shelton conducted “inappropriate marital conduct.”
Years later, in May 2014, Kaynette, also attempted to sell off her size 6 Demetrios wedding gown at a starting price of $700, through a friend’s eBay account. Allegedly, though, the item attracted no bidding. She went on to sell the dress nonetheless.
Shelton, on the other hand, confessed the agony of his first divorce was equivalent to losing his older brother Richie in a vehicle accident. The nine-time Grammy nominee called the divorce “a challenging, tough call to make.”
Shelton also acknowledged he wasn’t ready to be a husband when he married Kaynette. His breakup from Williams additionally inspired much of his 2007 album, Pure BS including his highest-charting hit, Don’t Make Me.

Why Did Kaynette And Blake Split?
One of the critical reasons behind Williams and the Oklahoma-born country singer’s relationship breakdown was the latter’s alleged infidelity with another country star Miranda Lambert.
In an interview, he remarked about the then-unusual experience of falling for a lady when he was still married to his former road manager.
Shelton confessed he lost his heart to Lambert as they were doing a duet during the CMT 100 Greatest Duets special in September 2005.
“I’ve never had that kind of encounter with anybody. I was a married guy, you know? Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, out there on stage,”

Did Kaynette Williams Remarry After The Divorce From Shelton?
After parting with the Doin’ What She Likes‘ writer/singer, Kaynette departed Nashville to return to Oklahoma.
However, her ex-husband, Shelton, and his then-wife, Lambert would also happen to settle in the surrounding area. With the National Enquirer in 2011, she previously revealed following the splitting up from the songwriter, she moved from Tennessee back to Oklahoma.
She claimed Blake and Miranda would also relocate back there to a neighboring town, after which Oklahoma wasn’t big enough. Williams, subsequently, departed Oklahoma and then traveled to Kansas. After going to Kansas, Williams landed in Great Bend and started working as a teacher, and a math facilitator.
In fact, in late Jan 2020, she earned the Presidential Award Nomination (as a 4th-grade teacher) in the subject of Mathematics for South Barber USD 255.
She is currently also the wife of the rodeo champion, and the world record holder for steer roping, Cody Joe Scheck. Reports of the former Oklahoma resident dating Scheck started to emerge in 2013.
In Jan 2022, on the occasion of National Spouse Day, Kaynette, who is now 48 years old, told practically all about how she got to Ms. Scheck. They supposedly had their first date at Moms at Seward, Kansas in 2011.
In the post, Williams also disclosed how her spouse is a better driver, spendthrift, a better morning person, and the one who falls asleep faster, among others. The Scheck pair currently resides in Kiowa, Kansas.

After Williams, Shelton, the musician with a net worth of over $ 100 million, married fellow singer, Miranda Lambert on May 14, 2011. They, though, would also end their union in 2015.
