Howard Kevin Stern (frequently mistaken with radio star Howard Stern) is a California-based American attorney.
Howard K. Stern was also the late model Anna Nicole Smith’s domestic partner, attorney, and agent. Now that we know Howard and Anna were connected, let us discuss all of the accusations leveled against Howard for being the cause of Anna’s death.
Anna’s Death and the Charges Leveled Against Her Partner Howard:
During the 1990s, when she was all over the fashion world, Anna had the entire world buzzing about her, and she was also infatuated by many. People frequently associate Anna and Howard since the two were more than just friends. The two initially met in 2001, when Anna’s then-billionaire husband died without leaving her anything in his will.
Anna was always emphatic about being a wealth digger and actually loved her husband, but when the will reveal that Anna had received nothing from her husband’s estate, she decided to take matters to court, which is when Anna and Howard met.
Furthermore, in 2006, Smith wore a bridal gown at a commitment ceremony in the Bahamas with Howard. They exchanged rings and vows as well, but they were never formally married and had a husband-wife relationship.
However, there was a significant disagreement over who fathered Dannielynn between Anna’s companion at the time, Howard, and photographer Larry Birkhead. Although Stern’s name appeared on the birth certificate, it was later revealed that Birkhead was the biological father.
Even though he is not the biological father, Howard K. Stern is claimed to maintain contact with Dannielynn, indicating a friendly relationship between them.
However, the bond between Anna and Howard is not what people remember them for. The public remembers Anna’s death in 2007, as well as the accusations of her death, leveled at Howard.
Anna died at the age of 39 from a prescription drug overdose, and Howard was convicted in 2010 on two felony charges for plotting and conspiring to use fictitious names and also for using false pretenses to obtain prescriptions.
Not only Howard K. Stern but also Smith’s friend and personal Psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich were convicted on four criminal counts, including two conspiracy charges.
The conspiracy charges were filed when Eroshevich allegedly brought bottles of drugs for Anna, and the two of them accumulated a frightening total of 44 different medications, including the hazardous chloral hydrate, Klonopin, Topomax, Valium, and Soma. What was perhaps more alarming was that the medications were prescribed in the names of several other individuals.
Another doctor, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who was thought to be an openly gay guy, was said to be romantically involved with Anna when the two were spotted kissing each other at a nightclub.
Later, Kapoor’s lawyers shed light on Kapoor’s sexuality, claiming that he was a gay man who had no love relationship with the deceased, and he was exonerated of the accusations.
Howard responded by saying,
“Howard Stern simply has been through enough … I find there is no reason to permit this case to go forward,”
However, Howard K. Stern was charged because he is a public figure, according to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry. He further stated,
“Howard Stern simply has been through enough … I find there is no reason to permit this case to go forward,”
In addition, due to a lack of evidence, Howard’s felony charges were dropped in February 2011. Furthermore, when a three-judge panel requested that Perry’s decision be reversed, a Howard official stated,
“I sincerely hope that the D.A. heeds the strong, forceful and true words of Judge Perry and allows this case to end. Only then would Howard be able to move on.”
Regardless, Anna’s death was tragic, and the world lost a talented and well-known model.
There are also allegations that Howard is still in charge of Anna’s estate and fortune. Following Anna’s untimely death, Stern inherited her almost $2 million legacies, which included her California mansion. Howard K. Stern is also fighting for Anna’s inheritance after her ex-husband Marshall died, which he promised to her. The case has been ongoing for more than two decades.
Is Howard now married?
With Anna’s death and all the court cases, Howard’s life took a turn for the worse. But what is Howard up to these days? Is he married, or is there a new love in his life?
Well, Howard K. Stern hasn’t been vocal about his love life, so he’s kept this subject to himself, so the answer might be a “NO, sort of” or he doesn’t want to be public about his personal matters. So we may have to wait for him to give us a hint in this area.
Howard K. Stern is a well-known attorney and actor who was born on November 29, 1968, in Los Angeles, California. Though he considers himself primarily an attorney, he has built a reputation for himself through his acting abilities.
