Linda, the younger sister of the former Dancing On Air celebrity, experienced a near-fatal tragedy back in 1999. Her fiance, a police officer, was eight months pregnant at the time when a drunk motorist struck her after running a red light.
Ripa was performing errands while circling Northeast Philadelphia in her car. She was struck by a drunk driver’s minivan as she waited to turn at a stoplight.
